Cafe Melba
Amidst the tall buildings of Mediapolis lies Cafe Melba, a cafe with floor-to-ceiling windows that lets in natural light and gives off a green view. Their speciality here is (as its name might suggest) Australian food, but many visit this place with their children in tow, simply because of how family-friendly it is. And, for those with children (or are just young at heart), they set up a bouncy castle every weekend and public holiday, so feel free to bounce away!

You’ve probably heard of Timbre @ The Substation and Timbre @ The Arts House, but you should definitely check out Timbre+ the next time you’re in the area. Modelled after food courts around town, this is a food hall (with live music) that holds many different stalls. One thing is for sure though: the quality here is guaranteed. Drop by Wong Kee Wanton Noodles for in-house noodles, or try out Dancing Crab Shack for Cajun-style seafood!

Though not particularly large in space, Bakersfield has attracted many office workers in the area for their selection of sandwiches and desserts. We are fond of their tarts here (the Pistachio Strawberry is a fan favourite), as well as their cakes (like the Black Glutinous Rice Coconut Cake). More than that, their coffee here is exquisite as well, which means it’s great for a midday break, or simply for a quick treat.

Get coffee like you’ve never had at Jimmy Monkey. But, don’t worry, it isn’t the only thing available on the menu. The menu serves up delectable mains like pasta and fish and chips, but be prepared for an experience from start to finish.
