Our house plants have more than one asset. According to scientists, they help to clean up the internal air…

Pollution is everywhere. Yes, even in your home! Thought that was impossible? Think again, as in a lot of cases this invisible pollution is a cause of respiratory diseases, allergies, tiredness and headaches.

Floating in the form of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) and of molecules, hidden in paintings, carpets, household products and wooden furniture, the most widespread are: benzene, toluene and formaldehyde, which is classified as carcinogenic by the Cancer Research Centre. And yet, we spend 90% of our time at home and at our office – those stuffy spaces where, according to the Observatory of Internal Air Quality, these pollutants are sometimes fifteen times more concentrated than the outside.

One way to reduce the harmful effects of this pollution is to place depolluting indoor plants – and we give you all you need to know about them, in our special report.
