Breakfast: What to eat and how often?
updated the 13 June 2014 à 22:43More common sense and fewer misconceptions. Yes, that’s probably a good idea.
Traditionally comprising of a hot beverage, dairy product (mostly milk), fruit and cereal, is breakfast really the most important meal of the day? One thing is certain: Binging in the morning prevents weight loss, in the same way that not eating anything is not a paid slimming strategy. Nutritionists agree that breakfast should account for only a quarter of the calories consumed in the day.
As it is, however, the point is a little more complicated in practice. It is also hazardous when we know that an “error” of 20 extra calories each day adds up to getting approximately 1 or 2 pounds heavier by the end of the year. As such, everything lies in the right food choices and portions. Dr. Annie Lacuisse-Chabot, author of “Slimming, the transformation of self (Odile Jacob)” helps us create three lists to refer to whilst making our breakfast choices every morning.
