Say hello to your new yoga instructor – the SmartMat. Featuring piezoresistive sensors that help you perfect yoga poses, balance and alignment – there’s no excuse not to exercise now!

Not only is yoga a great way to de-stress, it is also a great way to get some exercise into your day. And with the latest technology craze – you don’t need to join an expensive gym to enjoy the many health benefits yoga has to offer.

Introducing the SmartMat – a yoga mat that promises to guide you through many poses of the ever-so-relaxing exercise.

Ready to improve your yoga? With the help of discreetly embedded piezoresistive sensors, you can practice and perfect many poses, whether easy, medium or hard. The SmartMat pairs with an app on your smartphone or tablet to guide you through the many sessions. At first, the tech-smart mat will ask you to lay down while it takes your measurements – from arm span to various limb ratios. You will also be asked to enter some general information, such as gender, height and weight.

The rollable, portable and light-weight mat knows a total of 62 yoga poses, and rates your process at the end of each session. The mat comes with 3 modes:

-‘In home private’ offers a unique yoga class in the privacy of your own home – it provides you with poses essential to your measurements.

-‘In class assist’ is a little more hands-on. It keeps a record of all your poses and rates each of them – providing you with excellent feedback at the end of your session. You can opt for the visual-only or audio-only recommendations so you don’t disturb others.

– ‘Zen’ is a little less intrusive – you won’t receive live recommendations. However you will get a list of feedback at the end of your session.

The SmartMat is now available online at an earlybird special of approx. SGD379 (U.P. approx. SGD570).
