Battling a smartphone addiction you can’t kick? Turns out the answer lies in your phone.

Are you addicted to your phone? Chances are, you’ll say no. However, studies show that most people severely underestimate how much time they spend on their phone.

According to The Straits Times, people in Singapore spend 3 hours and 12 minutes on their phone on average each day. That’s almost one whole day a week (22 hours and 40 minutes), which is just under 50 days a year alone, on our phones.

To make matters worse, women seem to be on the wrong side of the addiction, as they use their phones more than men. Studies from UKOM found that 25 to 35 year-old women spend 9% more time on their phone than men do.

Many of us struggle to find enough minutes in the day, so it’s a shame to hear how much of it we can waste on our phones. Curbing an addiction is hard, so we’ve got a few tips to help you start.

Try these simple setting adjustments on your phone to stop you from screen swiping for so long! P.S. These hacks can be used on both Apple and Android phones.
