Should you really be constantly relying on gadgets to de-stress?

When taking a break from work or study, it is so easy to reach out for your phone and start scrolling through Instagram or play that new game you just downloaded from the app store. Grabbing your tablet or laptop to mindlessly surf the net or to watch cute animal videos has become the new 21st century way to unwind (or procrastinate).

Sure, technology is here to stay, but we shouldn’t always rely on it to help us relax our minds. What happened to the good old days when we used to go outside for picnics in the park, surrounded by nature? Or when we used to sit down with family to play board games like Monopoly and Scrabble instead of stare at the television all evening?
