Connected objects are taking over our everyday life, in fashion, beauty, gastronomy, and health. It’s now moving into the sweet prenatal universe.

While fitness buffs have a whole myriad of apps to keep track of their goals and diets, expectant mothers can safely look to Bellabeat for their technology fix.

The American start-up introduced the Bellabeat shell, which is a tracking and monitoring sensor that enables pregnant women to assess the various stages of their pregnancy from home and that’s not all.

Among its various characteristics, the moms-to-be can also listen to their little one’s heartbeat at anytime, record it and share the marvelous sound with their husband, parents and friends. Additionally, they would be able to track the baby’s movement, play calming music, calculate all the relevant dates throughout their pregnancy and interact with other moms-to-be – whether it’s to swap advice or learn from each other’s experiences.

The smart monitor is made from high-quality, natural materials and doesn’t use ultrasound waves, so it is completely safe for mothers-to-be and their baby. To use the sensor, simply sync it with the free Bellabeat app and position it on the expectant mother’s belly. After birth, the device need not be tossed, simply utilise it as a baby monitor or to play sounds.
