How should you counteract vaginal inflammation? With cranberries! But be careful, it is better to use dietary supplements.

how IT WORKS

“This berry contains antioxidants, proanthocyanidins (CAP), which protect the urinary mucous membrane. Bacteria at the origin of the cystitis can’t cling on anymore to the tissue of the bladder and multiply itself”, explains Daniel Kieffer. It is ideal to avoid repeated antibiotics taken when we are regularly subjected to cystitis (at least 4 times a year). Take it as a dietary supplement containing at least 36 mg of CAP, 2 months out of 3.

THE LIMITS

Cranberry does not prevent interstitial cystitis, which results from inflammation and not from an infection from the bladder. If the bacterium is already established you have to turn to essential antibiotic oils (2 drops of thujanol thyme diluted in a teaspoon of table oil) or stick with the good old antibiotics. You have to consult immediately in cases of fever and/or of pain in the low back (risk of pyelonephritis).
