Slimming down with the help of the moon – Is it really possible?

The natural satellite of the Earth not only influences the tides, but also our biological rhythms that can maximise the effects of a diet. It really works!

The moon, like the woman, is in cycles of perpetual movement, like a wave that possesses two major peaks. The ascending phase ends on the full moon, or ovulation for women. The declining phase, on the other hand, corresponds to an era of healing and cleaning, which ends symbolically with the new moon, and menstruation. The moon appears to be in direct connection with the natural cycles of women. A disrupted or unbalanced diet causes the interference with this cosmic link that affects the figure and the health…

The energy capital of the waxing moon:

Nutrients are much better assimilated during the period between the new moon and full moon, so take plenty of vitamins. Your body and immunity levels will be further strengthened with “living food”, which promotes a diet rich in raw minerals and nutrients: fill up on fresh and dried fruits and vegetables, sprouts, and fermented dairy products (yogurt, reasonable portions of cheese, etc.). Opt for foods rich in omega 3, which promote lipolysis, or in simpler terms, the removal of fats, during the waning phase, such as tuna, avocado, beef drizzled with rapeseed oil, salads containing corn, wheat germ, almonds, pistachios, etc.

Fasting on the full moon:

The body is particularly receptive to the period of the full moon, which lasts for half of the lunar cycle (also called “lunar month”). This period will help drain accumulated toxins to help eliminate unwanted pounds more easily. Set three days of mono-diet (where you eat only one type of food each day) on the eve of, the day of, and the day after the full moon, during which you avoid animal fats, gluten and sugar.

The first day: a bowl of basmati rice or lentils with a drizzle of olive oil.

The second day:  steamed greens.

The third day: raw or cooked fruit. If you have a developed a wolfish hunger too strong to bear over the last two days, you can add a bowl of rice. Matcha or green tea accentuates this detox effect.

Avoiding excess during the waning moon:

The body is idling during the waning cycle of the moon. Also, we recommend pushing dinner forward by an hour during the fortnight between full moon and new moon. Avoid eating after 9pm as far as possible. Continue giving your body a boost, to remove waste and fat, with diuretic herbs such as dandelion and fennel seeds. Increase your intake of fibre, green vegetables, whole grains and fruits. Refrain from intake of dairy products, bread and red meat. During meals, avoid taking starchy food with animal proteins.

The new moon flash cure:

It is a day not to be missed for anyone who wants to lose one or two kilos in just a day! But then, it is necessary to drastically reduce food intake for the 24 hours of the “black moon” (check the exact date on the calendar) Here is the menu…

Morning: an egg + 1 yoghurt (0% fat) + 1 fruit juice with pulp.

Noon: a slice of ham + 1 sauce + 1 slice of bread

Evening: 1 egg + 1 white cheese (0% fat) + 1 apple. Accompany it all with green tea and 1.5l of water in the course of the 24 hours.

The right concept?

Repeat this menu each new moon, even if you do not follow any sort of diet on a regular day! The sped-up weight loss that happens on that one day maintains your waistline without any major effort. The four phases achieved, you will see the first beneficial effects on the weighing scales and through your energy levels. You can stick to the program for four consecutive months to achieve your desired weight, all whilst respecting the needs of your body and avoiding dietary restrictions.
