Louis Vuitton casts Léa Seydoux in much-anticipated perfume campaign

It’s been 70 long years since Louis Vuitton launched a perfume. They’re back with a bang.

Léa Seydoux

Surprised by Louis Vuitton’s sudden foray into the fragrance scene for the first time since 1946? Yeah, us too. While plenty of other major fashion houses habitually release their own fragrances each season, Louis Vuitton has held off on that particular trend for the longest time – and is now about to pull all the stops to make up for lost time by launching seven (yes, seven) intensely feminine perfumes this year, each inspired by a different flower.

At the helm of this ambitious project is third-generation perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, who spent four years travelling the world in search of the right essences to create this latest collection of Louis Vuitton Les Parfums. And who better to front the campaign than gorgeous French actress Léa Seydoux of Spectre (2015) and Blue is the Warmest Colour (2013) fame? As the new face of LV fragrances, she will be appearing in the upcoming The Sprit of Travel – Beyond Perfume campaign, which we’ll definitely be looking out for.

The seven fragrances will come in lovely 100ml and 200ml minimalist glass bottles. Travel spray sets as well as a limited edition set containing all seven scents in miniature 10ml bottles will also be made available. Will you be picking a favourite?
