Sephora Virtual Artist

Wouldn’t it be handy if you could try on dozens of lipstick shades without having to go through the hassle of removing them each time? No more settling for second best just because you don’t have the time or money to search for the perfect lip colour. With Sephora’s innovative Virtual Artist, a brand new interactive feature on sephora.my, you can find your perfect lip shade in minutes by going through an assortment of your favourite brands that Sephora stocks.

Like a virtual mirror, the interactive interface uses facial recognition to chart out your lip location and shape so that you can digitally try out hundreds of shades in no time at all. You can also simply upload a photograph of yourself and let the interface do its work.

How Sephora’s Visual Artist differs from other similar make-up interfaces

Sephora’s new snazzy tool uses Pantone Colour IQ to find you the perfect formula, finish and hue to match your skin tone. You can also customise your look by filtering products by shade, brand and format. Your selected shade will be displayed on your virtual lips, together with product and pricing information.

Need to compare one product to another? No problem. The feature allows up to four different shades for side-by-side comparison. And you can email these to yourself for future reference. How neat is that? And of course, once you’re happy with a product, Visual Artist provides you will an instant “click to buy” option so you can snatch up your perfect find in a jiffy.
