With our round up of beauty hacks, you’ll be be bidding goodbye to this beauty woe sooner than expected.

Facial redness is a beauty woe experienced by many women daily. It may be caused by medical conditions such as rosacea or without any particular reason. For example a sudden change in climate may cause your skin to turn sensitive or dry, resulting in the appearance of facial redness. Lucky for most, this change is only temporary and will clear up once your constricted blood vessels have relaxed. If you are dealing with facial redness are are looking for a quick way to fix it without causing more sensitivity to your skin, here are 3 tried and tested methods.

METHOD #1: USE FROZEN VEGETABLES

That’s right! The bag of peas lying in your freezer is a great tool to use when dealing with facial redness. As bare ice may be a little harsh for red skin, we recommend using a bag of produce to act as a cold compress. The coldness from the bag helps to constrict traumatized blood vessels. This causes the redness to decrease over time and provide relief.

METHOD #2: CHILL YOUR MOISTURIZER

You would have heard of this beauty hack if you are used to chilling your eye cream. This is a beauty hack we swear by as the sudden exposure to cold temperature helps your skin to rapidly minimize any signs of redness and calm it down. Put your moisturizer in the fridge and let it sit overnight. If you are in a rush, simply run the tub under water and put it into the fridge – this will help it to chill faster. Apply the product on your skin and allow it to soak in before re-applying after a while.

METHOD #3: APPLY ALOE VERA

Aloe Vera has been used for centuries as a trusted go-to remedy to alleviate redness. It is packed with vitamins to help reduce signs of inflammation thus reducing any redness. Simply apply a small amount of aloe vera gel to areas of your face where you are experiencing redness. Massage the gel into your face without applying excessive pressure.  You will be able to notice the level of redness decreasing soon.

The key is to be patient and not add more trauma to your skin with the introduction of unwanted pressure or newer products. Head over the gallery up top for a round up of products to try to calm your facial redness down.
