From the Spring runways to the red carpet, this polar opposite colour has been making waves. Here’s how you can rock the latest beauty trend with ease.

We may all be used to having a black eyeliner stashed away in our makeup collections but it’s time to put them aside for the time being and adopt a whole new shade on the opposite end. And by that we mean the pristine white.

The trend of using white eyeliner is not new to the beauty community – what started out as a trend in the 90s has made a come back in recent seasons and it is better than ever. Using white eyeliner will not only make your eyes appear brighter and instantly awake but it’s also a twist on the classic black liner, which may tend to make your eyes appear small and more hooded if applied excessively.

You’ll notice more brands carrying white eyeliner these days but this is one of the most feared shades to pull off as most beauty users are unaware of how to pull off this intense and unconventional colour. Common fears include it looking too comical, patchy or worst of them all, awful. However, with these three tips, you’ll be covered and rocking the trend in no time.

TIP 1:

Avoid drawing thick white lines around your eyes. This could appear as extreme and draw more attention than needed. Avoid applying too much product on your lash line or rim as excess product might gather at the eye corners after some time resulting in a not so pretty sight.

TIP 2:

Even if you have bigger or wide set eyes, this technique can still be used. Apply white eyeliner on the outer corners instead and add a dash of brown or black mascara to complete the look.

TIP 3:

For individuals with closed set eyes, apply white eyeliner on the inner corners to draw light and create the illusion of bigger looking eyes.

This milk-like pigment has been making a splash and we could not be more excited for the variety of looks using white eyeliner. Head over to the gallery up top for 10 fun looks that will convince you to try this trend out.
