She might be the most perfect of role models but at least her makeup is flawless to a T. Here are the essentials you need to know from her USD1200 routine.

If you have been active on the social media scene, you would have noticed that Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist, Mario Dedivanovic has set up a master class to reveal secrets behind Kim K’s flawless makeup routine. While not all details have been released, the Miami-based artist reportedly revealed that the routine requires 40 separate creams, blushes, powders and gels. All these for a grand total of USD1200.

If you are not able to attend the class, well fret not because we’ve got the 5 essential take away tips you need to note right here.

DO YOUR MAKEUP FIRST AND HAIR SECOND

Mario suggests beginning with your makeup routine before moving on to hair. Doing your hair first might result in the accumulation of hair products such as hairspray on the face. To resolve that, simply wipe the face with makeup wipe prior to makeup application.

DO NOT FORGET TO APPLY FOUNDATION ON YOUR EARS

It is crucial to blend foundation out evenly on your face to avoid any streak marks but it is as important to blend foundation on your neck, eyelids, and even a little on your ears. This helps to ensure that there is a balance in the overall colour tone and your skin tone is as even as possible.

CREAM PRODUCTS BEFORE POWDER PRODUCTS

This is a given. Set all of your cream-based products with powder for an intense, thick and rich finish. This intensifies the colour pay off of your product.

BAKE YOUR CONCEALER

To add longevity to your under-eye concealing, contour or highligther, try baking. Baking is done primarily with the use of loose powder. To learn more about this technique, click here.

LAYER ON THE EYELINER

Yes you can layer your eyeliner for a stronger effect. Start off with a kohl as your base and go over it with a liquid liner. Finish off with a gel eyeliner to add definition and at the same time draw attention to your eyes.

These are 5 of the easiest ways to enhance your makeup routine. Head over to the gallery up top for a list of 5 products from Kim’s secret stash.
