It’s double the charisma here at Burberry’s latest fragrance campaign with supermodels Kate Moss and Cara Delevinge – a match made in fashion heaven.

For the first time, two of fashion’s most iconic and famed supermodels – Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne – came together on set to shoot a campaign for Burberry. The two joined forces and delivered what seemed to be right about the most brilliant pairing of models that the fashion world has witnessed to date.

Cara Delevingne may currently be the most sought after model as she continues to appear in a whole host of campaigns and endorsements but yet she was humbled to be given the opportunity to work alongside the 4th highest earning model, Kate Moss.

“Kate has such a presence and she has a great sense of humor and style. We had met a few times before we worked on the My Burberry shoot together so I knew we would have fun together and that the pictures would be great. I’ve always admired Kate.”

The campaign, shot by the exceptionally gifted photographer, Mario Testino, features both models decked out in signature Burberry trench coats as they cosy up to each other in intimate poses – all to promote the latest fragrance by the British brand, My Burberry. The scent features notes of sweet pea and bergamot fused with a heart of geranium, golden quince and freesia, rounded out with base notes of rain-tipped damask and centifolia roses and patchouli to bring to mind the English country gardens after rainfall.

“What I love about My Burberry is how timeless it is – it’s a fragrance that is so effortless, that you can wear it anytime, and anywhere,” gushes Kate Moss.

As for the bottle, it bears significant resemblance to the trench coat since the ribbon knot is made from English-woven garbadine – honouring the trench coat fabric – and the bottle cap is reminiscent of the buttons.

There is no doubt that the heritage macs are evidently Burberry’s core and to return to that base is an exquisite and thoughtful touch. Neither Moss nor Delevingne are newcomers to Burberry or the classic trench as they have both starred in a multitude of Burberry campaigns, all done with effortless perfection.

“The Burberry trench coat is such a classic – I have so many in my wardrobe now, and I always find it the perfect piece to throw on for any occasion; whether I’m dressing up or down. I also love the idea that I can hand it down to my daughter, and our generations after that; it has this timelessness to it that I am very drawn to,”

Moss went on to say, “I love the fact that it’s been worn by everyone from rock stars (Mick Jagger, Marianne Faithful etc), to artists (Lucien Freud) to royalty, and it still looks incredible on everyone – it can be chic and sexy, it can be more serious and pulled together, and it can just be something I throw on to shelter me from the London rain.”

If the campaign, the bottle and the fragrance doesn’t entice you to the point of purchasing, get this, you’ll be able to monogram the bottles with your initials – now that’s truly MY Burberry.
