Oktoberfest is around the corner, and we have a list of the best places to go to to enjoy good beer and good food.

It’s October, and the two best things that are happening this month are Halloween and Oktoberfest. It began with Crown Prince Ludwig marrying Princess Therese on 12 October 1810, and because the Germans love beer and parties, they celebrated with a drink-a-thon. It soon became a tradition because they were so well-loved, and now the fun has spread to the world – even in Singapore.

In addition to going out to nice restaurants, appreciating the hearty German cuisine and indulging in great wine with your friends, you can even attend an authentic re-creation of Oktoberfest right here in Singapore. There will be traditional folk music and dancing that everyone can take part in. This huge, ball-of-fun festival will be held at Marina@Keppel Bay.

Red Dot Brewhouse is also holding a special celebration with live German folk music, costumes, and authentic German beer for that real experience, and to pay homage to this amazing holiday. Not only that, Singapore’s most famous party destination, Clark Quay, is having a huge Oktoberfest party with live music and food and beer and dancing, and it’s all free admission!

You can enjoy special promotions from Dean & Deluca for bottled beers from SGD7, and delicious grub from places like Bing Bing Ice Cream Gallery, (ice cream from SGD3.50), Burrito Boys (Burritos set meal from SGD7), Burgerup Classix (daily specials starting from SGD5.31), Chic-A-Boo Fried Chicken (set meals from SGD7.90), Curry Gardenn (main course starting from SGD4). If these aren’t great deals, we don’t know what are.

To get you started, we’ve made a list of the top 10 ways to celebrate the Bavarian festival in Singapore. Visit them all and they’ll leave you stuffed and happy for days.
