What’s a destination without its meaningful processes right? We know that behind every great work, lies hours of sweat, blood and tears. 3.1 Phillip Lim is proud to announce the release of a short documentary film, of an intimate behind-the-scenes creative process of his Spring 2016 runway show.
Celebrating with ‘Stop and Smell the Flowers’ as the key message, co- founders Phillip Lim and Wen Zhou teamed up with recognised artist and environmentalist, Maya Lin to create a magnificent sculptural installation for the 10 year anniversary Spring 2016 runway show.
Based on vocabulary used in Maya’s work, the piece uses only soil to focus on scale and repetition – which is returned back to the New York City community gardens with means of appreciation and gratitude.
