JPG in Japan: A Jean Paul Gaultier fashion line to be sold at 7-Eleven

Fans of the legendary French couturier can now look forward to the designer’s ready-to-wear capsule collection for women at the convenience store in Japan.

In 2014, Jean-Paul Gaultier made his official exit from the ready-to-wear industry to focus on haute couture and his fragrance business. But his fans should dry their tears as the legendary French couturier now has more time to dedicate to various projects.

Hence, Gaultier has teamed up with the Japanese holding retail company, Seven & I, to design a ready-to-wear capsule collection for women, called “Jean-Paul Gaultier for Sept Premières”. And for the little shocking touch, the collection will be sold in the 17,000 7-Eleven convenience stores in Japan as well as several department stores owned by Seven & I.

The collection will feature more than 50 styles, such as tops, outwear, bottoms, dresses and accessories, priced much lower than his ready-to-wear collection – prices range from 3,900 Yen (approx 50 SGD) to 29,000 Yen (approx 350 SGD) and will go on sale in October 2015 only in Japan.

Luxury has never been so affordable! All we have to do now is to buy a plane ticket for October – destination Japan!
