Get the Look: Anna Sui Spring 2016 shades of blue

Anna Sui took us on a trip to Hawaii for her next collection. Here we follow suit in the ocean-blue shades Issa Lish sports on the runway.
New York Fashion Week is well under way and almost coming to an end as we gear up to scuttle along to its London counterpart. Anna Sui presented her Spring 2016 collection just yesterday to a crowd eager to break away from the impending Fall chill and seek refuge in an island getaway-inspired outfit. The designer did just that, sending models down in pieces heavily influenced by her recent trip to nearby Hawaii.
We bring our attention to a particular monochromatic and haphazard, yet perfectly styled ensemble as seen on model Issa Lish. A fringe skirt which was the runway equivalent to the Hawaiian hula version may have you looking like you're headed to a costume party, so mimic the ocean waves instead in a printed mini skirt by Missoni Mare and pair it with a matching halter. Give the look more depth with a textured long-length blazer in a darker shade and you'll instantly take it from skimpy to polished.
Skip the socks and go for a pair of platforms that have a contrasting ankle strap, which will break up the colours from looking like a mash of murky blue. Swipe on a perfect deep berry lipstick to complement the true blue shades and leave your hair down for the day.
