Plums & Violets: 10 Ways to look perfect in purple this festive season
Whether it be a shimmering violet skirt or a scarf in a dark plum, there’s plenty to love about purple.
Purple may not be a colour that one immediately thinks of when it comes to fashion. There are plenty of other colours in the visible spectrum that people turn to first when dressing up – timeless black, sultry red, cheerful yellow, electrifying blue… the list goes on. Purple seems to sit at the back of everyone’s mind as a colour that is undeniably pretty, but also quite hard to pair with other wardrobe items and accessories, kind of like the colour pink or green. Hence, women find it easier to stick to safer colours.
We’re here to tell you that we think purple shades look amazing and can be successfully worn without looking ridiculous. And even if you stand out a bit, what’s the harm in that? This festive season, it should be all about looking as eye-catching as possible. It may be an unconventional colour, but don’t write purple off completely – learn to rock some spectacular violets and bluish-indigos and pastel-perfect lilacs and lavender.
