Without doubt, the wonderfully quaint and cosy interior of The Coffee Clinic is the first thing that grabs your attention as you step into the cafe. With its wooden floors and timber walls, the cafe leaves you feeling like you've stepped out of Kuching and into a quaint cottage home elsewhere.
Expect traditional cafe fare here like delicious coffee blends, baked goods, and fluffy cakes. The cafe also hosts its own occasional live band performances, so be sure to head down for a great evening of good food and music!

If you love your cafe beverages, Tease is the joint for you. Their drinks menu is quite extensive, although the food options here are rather limited. However, their Salted Egg Burger (paired with a side dish of golden brown curly fries) is absolutely perfect for days when you're craving for a spot of comfort food.

If you're on the hunt for a great cuppa, this is the spot for you. Earthlings Coffee Workshop is arguably the best coffee place you'll find in Kuching. All their coffee is prepared by a team of highly trained baristas, who use fresh, quality coffee beans that are roasted and brewed to perfection.

TreeSixteen is a health-centric cafe that dishes up delicious healthy bites. We recommend trying their Bario rice honey chicken - a local rice dish which can only be found in northeast Sarawak. This joint is the perfect haunt if you appreciate a good cafe interior - and great food too, of course. The exposed bulbs, large glass windows, and overall rustic and industrial vibe screams hipster chic, and definitely makes for the perfect Instagram capture.
Sukha's menu boasts of a varied selection of both local and fusion fare. We recommend trying the Ayam Pansuh (an authentic Sarawakian dish), Chicken Waffle, and even the Rendang Spaghetti! With its distinctive decor and great food options, Sukha is definitely worth a visit when you're feeling peckish.

The cafe boasts of a great ambience, with its distinctive lighting and airy space that lets plenty of sunlight in. You'll find that the joint has a permanent delicious aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafting through its space.

If you live in Kuching, you might have already heard of Rusty Bean & Batter just from the constant stream of its 'food porn' worthy pictures on your social media feed. If you've got a sweet tooth or are simply in the mood for desserts and sweet treats, then look no further than Island's Originals. This cafe sells mainly baked treats like tarts and pies. Definitely give their fruit tart a try - we can confidently vouch that it'll be the best one you'll try in the city. Besides tarts, the cafe also has a wide variety of juices and smoothies available, made solely using natural ingredients.

You’d be surprised: Sarawak’s capital city is likely to delight your inner foodie.

When you think of food cities in Malaysia, Kuching may not be the first city that immediately comes to mind. Although it may not be necessarily as renowned for its food like Penang, Kuching’s cafe scene is definitely one to watch.
