Lo and behold, the team can go healthy at times and if you’re wondering what satiates our hunger, read on.

While reaching out for chips, chocolates, fried food and the like could sound rather pleasing, at times that team at  Marie France Asia does understand the need to be healthy – especially when we’re at our desks for most hours of the day. So with that in mind, this week we’ve decided to highlight our favourite healthy snack that we just don’t mind biting into.

Yoghurt

“I’m quite possibly the least healthiest person around – always chomping on chips, fries, chocolates, you name it. But if I had to pick, I love crushed nuts with a drizzle of yoghurt on top. Can we say mmmm?”

Yoghurt

“As a person who’s always reaching for chips, cupcakes and the unhealthiest of snacks, the healthiest thing I’ve got in my kitchen right now is yoghurt. It’s filling, reasonably sweet, and palatable (as far as healthy snacks go). I like to top mine with cereals to give it a bit of texture and crunch, but if you have a sweet tooth, the flavoured ones are enjoyable by themselves.”

Fruits

“I don’t eat a lot of chips or snack on healthy alternatives like nuts or any of those granola mixes, but when I’m feeling like a quick sweet munch (something that’s not chocolate, my only vice) I always reach for fruits. I’ll go for anything from red apples to honeydew and rock melon or sliced guava.“

Edamame

“Hmm… choosing my favourite healthy snack is going to be pretty tough because I generally enjoy snacking healthy. I’m not a fan of potato chips or ice cream or chocolate so most of the time, you’ll find me snacking on fruits or mixed nuts. If I were to crave for chips, I’ll get the organic mixed root chips from Thomas Chipman.

But I’ve recently discovered something new to snack on and I am totally addicted to it right now – Edamame! It’s easy to find (can be found at most supermarkets), and even easier to prepare! Just boil a pot of water, add a pinch of salt and add in your edamame and have it boil for a couple of minutes and when it’s done, you’ll find yourself snacking on it non-stop in front of your TV screen. You can choose to have it warm or even at room temperature when you’re busy running errands and have it packed in your bag. They are absolutely delicious and are packed with protein which is an awesome added bonus!”
