Local innovators are concocting new and delicious adaptations of the traditional ice cream recipe.

The hot weather can lead us to crave icy desserts, making it no wonder why the inhabitants of Singapore enjoy a scoop of ice cream ever so often.

From Ben & Jerry’s to Cold Stone, our island-state is home to many ice-cream institutions. We even have a number of homegrown ice cream parlours like the well-loved Creamier that became so popular it spawned another ice cream brand, Sunday Folks.

Ice cream recipes are not often fiddled with, after all, why mess with perfection? However, with new advancements in culinary techniques, foodie innovators are able to try their hand at refining everyone’s favourite ice-cold dessert.
