“He had warned me: ‘When I’m no longer 100% in love with a girl, I leave’. I didn’t listen to him or believe him, I just thought that he was a little afraid of love. He told me that, but his attitude said something quite different; he wanted to see me all the time, planned romantic dates, babies and trips. I even found him a little too passionate, forcing me to switch organizations and my schedule in order to satisfy his authoritarian need to see me. Despite this excessive side, I liked him and we shared many common interests. And then one evening, there was no news from him. I called and left messages, but heard nothing for a few days. I even believed that something bad had happened to him until a mutual friend opened my eyes: he saw other women; he cheated on me. He got excited and backtracked without warning. I already wasn’t a particularly self-confident person so this story weakened me profoundly. I recovered by changing my attitude to men: promises just commit those who believe in them…”
