TV series: You like Cold Case for its human interest stories?

When watching the American series, are you more on the side of the vigilante or villain? This can say a lot about you…

The duty of memory, one of the key phrases of the time, does not just concern people, wars and massacres, but also nestles in the hearts of human interest stories of the American heartlands. For Lilly Rush and her inspectors, there is no indefeasible crime. The lost causes will, in time, be rediscovered.

In exhuming the unexplained cases dating back to the Ku Klux Klan, the blonde finds justice for all the victims, and brings to justice all the perpetrators still at large. Like the pub always says, it is much more than just TV – the construction of identity through the elucidation of the darkest secrets links us to our past.

The expert’s opinion:
“Inspectors delve into the archives and memories to bring out the truth, but most importantly, to provide older people closure from their family secrets and guilt. The reconstruction of America for almost a century is remarkable and historically accurate,” says historian Marjolaine Boutet, who released a Cold Case in 2013.

This is for you if…
You take any injustice as a personal offense. And you never believe those who say: “It serves nothing to ruminate about the past, we must move forward.” You know well that one does not go without the other.
