Off to a party, and not sure which makeup look will go well with your outfit? Smoky eyes? Red or nude lipstick color? This app will help you decide.

Not sure what makeup look to sport for your date? Thankfully, technology comes to the rescue once again.

While we all agree that trying a certain beauty look is the only guaranteed way to figure if it would work out or not, we don’t always have the time or patience to do some ‘trial and error’ until we get it right.

But the problem is solved thanks to a new app called L’Oreal’s MakeupGenius. In short, the cosmetic brand has designed a revolutionary app which offers an incredible virtual makeup tester experience to its customers. The technology used here is the same used on Brad Pitt’s face inBenjamin Button to transform him from an old man to a young boy.

So, how does it work?

You have to download the app first, of course. Then, using a form of high technology, the app is able to recognize your facial characteristics, crucial for the good virtual makeup application experience.

You can select which products (eyeshadow, lipstick and so on) you want to apply or even find inspiration from real professional expert designers thanks to the library looks.

Once you are satisfied with your virtual makeup, the app will follow the movement of your face, so you can see your look in action. After that, you can save your makeover and share it with your friends on your preferred social platforms.

Moreover, the app also allows you to directly scan products in store and try them immediately there on your virtual face before buying anything.

If you are as tempted as we are, you can download this genius app here.
