Honey Ryder in Dr. No (1962)
Out of all the memorable looks of the franchise, the skimpy white bikini still remains as one of the most iconic looks of all time. It is so recognisable, it can only be superseded by one other swimsuit, which are Daniel Craig's baby blue trunks in Casino Royale.

Tracy di Vicenzo in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969)
The only Bond girl to ever become Mrs. Bond had outfits that oozed Old Hollywood glamour from every stitch. The most show-stopping is definitely this stunning sequined dress emblazoned with peacock feather motifs.

Solitaire in Live & Let Die (1973)
The otherworldly psychic played by Jane Seymour had some pretty showy costumes in this early 70s installment. However, the favourite is her simplest ensemble – the sheer white empire cut dress.

Holly Goodhead in Moonraker (1979)
The sheer black jumpsuit worn by Lois Chiles is so chic and stylish, it made us forgive the good doctor’s beyond terrible name.

May Day in A View to a Kill (1984)
While there were some questionable looks from this movie, nothing can make us forget just how fashion-forward Grace Jones made the hood look. This look ended up becoming the signature of the model.

Jinx Johnson in Die Another Day (2002)
Halle Berry’s homage to Ursula Andress injected some new life into that old look with the bright orange and sleeker belt. It just begs the question, who wore it better?

Vesper Lynd in Casino Royal (2006)
Eva Green stunned in many gorgeous gowns in the 2006 version of Casino Royale. However, it’s the suit with that sharp popped collar that is seared into our memory. Who can forget how sophisticated and dangerous Vesper looked as she kicked Bond out of the elevator declaring, “There isn’t enough room for me and your ego.” Bless.

Strawberry Fields in Quantum of Solace (2008)
The best part about this absolutely horrendous movie was Gemma Arterton’s adorable portrayal of Strawberry Fields. From her little black dress to her flicky black liner and chic chignon, it makes it a shame that she had to die so unattractively.

1123220 – Skyfall
The best movie outfits are those that incorporate a little dramatic flair. For Bond’s big comeback after Quantum, costume designer Janey Temime spent six months creating this backless couture gown. She even had to apply all 60,000 crystals on the dress by hand. The results were of course, stunning and deserving of a spot on this list.

It may be premature, but when we caught a glimpse of Léa Seydoux in this silver number, we knew it would become one of our all-time favourites.

Bond girls don’t necessarily have the best reputations. Not only do some of them have ridiculous names with questionable double entendres (Pussy Galore, really?), they all fall too easily for Mr. Bond. However, we got to admit, these girls are serious about their fashion.

After five decades, 24 movies and a parade of salacious Bond girls, we have seen some pretty interesting wardrobe changes in the franchise. Some of them have gone down in history as some of the most iconic and recognisable costumes in Hollywood.

The latest installment of the franchise, Spectre, has already given us a sneak preview of the gorgeous outfits through their promotional material. Needless to say, we can’t wait to see the full spectrum of fashions in the movie.
