Shoes to commemorate your ex? This new Melissa collab did just that.

They say “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned,” but contemporary artist and designer Sebastian Errazuriz thinks men can also play that game. The Chile native is the artist behind ‘Twelve Shoes for Twelve Lovers’, a collection of 12 3D-printed shoe-like sculptures inspired by his ex-girlfriends, complete with amusing names like “Gold Digger”, “The Boss”, “Honey”, “Cry Baby”, “The Virgin” and “Heartbreaker”, among others.

The installation first debuted at the 2013 Miami Art Basel and has since travelled to the Kunsthalle Rotterdam, the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, and the Museum of Art and Design in New York.

Far from being a stranger to covetable art, Brazilian label Melissa shoes has collaborated with the designer to create a limited edition capsule collection, turning his sculptures into wearable designs using the bubblegum-scented eco-friendly plastic material they are best known for. The capsule collection features two of the styles from the installation – “Gold Digger” which depicts a man shouldering the weight of a gold shoe; and “The Boss”, which features brass knuckles on the underside of a pair of glossy black heels. A whole lot of attitude paired with the utmost comfort, these shoes aren’t for the faint of heart and can become great conversation starters.

For a limited time only, the Sebastian Errazuriz capsule collection will be available at the Melissa MDREAMS Pop-Up Store, from 15 October 2015 onwards.

The Melissa MDREAMS Pop-Up Store is located at Wheelock Place, #B1-05B, and will be open from 13 October 2015 till 10 November 2015.
