Watch: Unseen Alexander McQueen footage unveiled in new fashion film

Nick Knight, one of the late designer’s longest collaborator, has crafted yet another hypnotic tribute film.

While the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibition in London’s Victoria & Albert museum may have seen its curtains fall, that’s not to say that there’s no other way to remember the acclaimed fashion designer by.

As a tribute to the late prodigy, photographer Nick Knight whipped up yet another exceptionally hypnotic fashion film that recounts several of McQueen’s most famous pieces. The three and a half minute-long clip takes previously unseen and unused footage from earlier projects such as ‘Unseen McQueen‘, ‘Black: 2015‘ and ‘To Lee, With Love, Nick.’ Knight was also one of McQueen’s closest collaborator ever since the pair first met in the 90s, which make it all the more mesmerizing to see his spin on the designer’s works till today.

As for the pieces featured in the film itself, it was selected with input from current creative director, Sarah Burton and stylist Edward Enninful, while the montage was crafted together with filmmaker Younji Ku and art director Jon Emmony. What resulted from the creative collaboration of minds was a haunting and surreal clip that only further reminded us how a brilliant mind like that of McQueen’s is gone way too soon.
