Dexter Morgan, the serial killer who whispers into the ears of viewers. It is one of the darkest series airing but also one of the most humane, thanks to the incredibly warm voice of the sensitive and fragile actor Michael C. Hall (otherwise known for his appearance in Six Feet Under). The forensic expert in Miami’s criminal police kills someone new in each episode, normally in the night, and always only the absolute bastards. He can smash in a head with a hammer immediately after successfully enrolling his son in a Catholic school. Widower, model father, tender tragic hero endowed with a sense of fierce self-deprecation, Dexter asks us a simple and terrible question – is there a monster waiting to be unleashed in each and every one of us?

“This is one of the series that tests our moral ambivalence the most.
