Singapore Restaurant Festival

Where: Various locations islandwide.
Why: Missed this year's Singapore Restaurant Week? Well, fret not because Singapore Restaurant Festival is back in town! Be it an emergency ice-cream run at Udders, or a fancy date night at Chef’s Table by Stephan Zoisl, there’s definitely a restaurant for your picking. Be sure to participate in the lucky draws happening all-festival-round and win irresistible prizes and dining vouchers as you dine in any of their participating restaurants! The festival kicks off this July with a ‘Japanese and Heritage’ cuisine theme, followed by ‘Western and Korean’ in August, and concluding with delicious ‘Chinese and Asian’ bites in September. Some newcomers this year include Bedrock Bar & Grill, Dean & Deluca, Punjab Grill, The Marmalade Pantry, Pizza Maru, Hello Kitty Orchid Garden, Pince & Pints, Fat Cow, The Flying Squirrel, Two Hana and Seoul in a Sandwich among others, so make sure you check out their menus as well!

Sunshine Nation x Moonbeats Asia present SG Lewis

Why: Sunshine Nation and Moonbeats Asia are teaming up for the first time to bring you the top electronic artist, SG Lewis, for his Singapore debut! Singapore Cat Festival

Why: This is for all you crazy cat ladies! This weekend, Kallang Leisure Park will be hosting the inaugural Singapore Cat Festival; the first ever cat-only event for avid cat fans islandwide! The festival will feature local and international cat product vendors, host educational talks, sharing sessions between cat owners, and fun activities in a weekend of celebrating (and indulging) our beloved feline companions. ArtScience on Screen: Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story

Why: Celebrate #GirlPower circa the 1940s by heading over to the Art Science Museum to watch their Hedy Lamarr documentary! Hedy Lamarr was truly an icon in the sense that she combined incredible brains and beauty. Not only was she an actress known as the ‘most beautiful woman in the world’, she was also forward-thinking and technologically-brilliant. Why: Our favourite market is back - but with a new, exciting twist! This year, the Sunday Social Market held at Camp Kilo Charcoal Club will go pink to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Pink Dot. Hang out with their friends, listen to good music, eat delicious food and discover local brands and talented crafters! The market will feature music by local artists such as RiffRaff and Shigeki, and local up and coming vendors like Africology Skincare Singapore, Happy Earth, and Lula Rock will also be bringing their best goodies! STREAT

Why: Kick off the Singapore Food Festival 2018 by heading over to STREAT, a pop-up restaurant led in collaboration by Chef Emmanuel Stroobant (from one Michelin-started Saint Pierre) and Chef Haikal Johari (from one Michelin-starred Alma). STREAT will offer locally-inspired dishes with a modern twist, including dishes from MORSELS, Old Bibik's Peranakan Kitchen & Gallery, and Gayatri Restaurant. Sentosa Grillfest

Why: As part of this year’s Sentosa Grill Fest, Siloso Beach will transform itself into a kilometre-long beachside street food fiesta featuring Sentosa's dining establishments and Singapore's very own 2nd generation Hawkers! Tuck into both local and international dishes that run the gamut from Jumbo Hokkien Noodles and Traditional Naan Platter to old-school calamansi drinks with sour plum, and more! Out in Singapore Exhibition
When: 7 to 22 July 2018

Why: A sister project of “Out in Japan”, Out In Singapore is a project spearheaded by internationally renowned fashion photographer and film director Leslie Kee. He will be displaying new portraits of 150 LGBTQ individuals at The Projector to humanize the queer community in Singapore. More information here.
