“I LOVE SHOOTING SCENES FROM LIFE”

BÉRENGÈRE, 38, DIRECTOR OF A PR agency.

“I don’t like photos where people pose at all. Generally, the people do not know that I shot them. I love photographing scenes of life: a child having fun with his kite in Asia, an old Indian drinking his Chaï in India, women on the market on the Mauritius Island… ”

THE expert’s OPINION – “THE AUTHENTICITY OF BEING CAPTURED LIVE”

“With the democratization of the digital devices, then smart phones, we move away from posed photos to focus on catching live moments: Bérengère illustrates perfectly this evolution. She looks for authenticity. She gets moments of life and genuine attitudes. She focuses more on the things that liven up the places that she visits rather than the places themselves. So the photo participates in the movement of life and the notion of journey and immersion in different cultures.”
