Do you need to decrease your stress at work? Some indoor plants are enough to lower the pressure. And it is scientifically proven!

Did you know that when there are plants at the office we tend to work faster? Also, we are sick less often.  Studies also showed that having a view of a forest or a big park from our office lowers turnover in companies and limits the number of errors committed by the workers, claims Jordy Stefan, a psychologist and specialist on the effects of house plants on health. That’s not all – the atmosphere will also be more pleasant and the conflicts between colleagues less frequent. Unfortunately, we rarely have a view of an immense green space all day long. What should we do with what we have? Here is the answer of the specialists.

EVEN POSTERS OF PLANTS ARE ENOUGH!

According to numerous researches led in Asia, a contact, even limited, with nature reduces stress and the anxiety. Putting one, two or three house plants in our office enables us to lower the pressure. The leafy and green plants seem to be the ones that give better results. “It is useless to put them on our desk, we can put them a metre away from us to take advantage of their beneficial effects,” notes the researcher. Those who really have no room at their place of work can even opt for a poster of plants! If the mechanism remains difficult to clarify, according to the scientists even this small act is enough to reduce anxiety (a little).
